Who is behind Gula Inc?
My name is Didi Ali-Mattisson, and I founded Gula Inc back in 2015. What started as a passion project is now a thriving business that brings joy to my customers' events of all kinds.
I am originally from Singapore, I moved to Sweden in 2012 to be with the love of my life. I began working as a paralegal, and baking became my go-to activity to cope with the stress that came with it.
Everything I know about baking I taught myself. In the evenings, when I was done with my 9-5 job for the day, I would sit in my kitchen to harness my creative mind, learning how to bake all different kinds of sweet treats. I would often share it with my friends, family, colleagues and neighbours. Seeing how much joy it has brought them was what motivated me to learn everything there is to know about baking. Since then,
I have worked tirelessly to improve my skills. My passion for baking grew stronger with each new creation, and then out of nowhere, Gula Inc was born. Gula Inc is my baby that was born out of a passion and dedication to bring happiness to others. I started my business from my kitchen, combining knowledge from Singapore and Sweden.

No matter how big or small the cake is, it always requires effort and careful planning, which is why Didi aims to work closely with each and every customer to ensure that their wishes are being met to the very last detail. She will listen to your vision and turn it into a sweet reality! She will also walk you through the entire process, answer any questions you may have along the way, and even advise and guide you in terms of what products are the best for your event.
Didi ensures to take note of any allergies or dietary requirements, creating dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan cakes and pastries as well. No matter what event you are planning, she can surely help.
She loves to be creative when baking and no cake is ever too big or too small for her! Your wish is her command and she will make sure that the final outcome meets your expectations. If you require any specific messages or designs, Didi is more than happy to incorporate them into the cakes. There are no boundaries to the imagination!
